R-NOX is the first in Antarctica!
R-NOX is the first to monitor the quality of ambient air in Antarctica by near-reference stations!
In the context of global air pollution growth, it is important to understand how human impact affects the environment in Antarctica. This issue is of great significance for the future of our planet. The company R-NOX is also contributing to solving this task!
Our professional gas and aerosol analyzer AirNode has already been successfully operated in various world-class projects! It’s time to conquer new heights. Specifically for the expedition to Antarctica, we have prepared the AirNode in an environmental test chamber at extremely low temperatures. At the end of last year, the equipment was sent with an expedition to to the most mysterious continent of our planet – Antarctica!
Since January 2024, researchers have been obtaining reliable data on the air quality at the Earth’s southern pole. The initial project results will be presented at the conference in Chile – “The global Antarctic research event, SCAR 2024”. This collaboration is the first in the history of monitoring ambient air quality in Antarctica using near-reference stations.
This collaboration represents a significant step in monitoring air quality in Antarctica using near-reference stations, and it serves to confirm the functionality of our equipment in harsh conditions. The goal of R-NOX is to provide users with accurate and reliable instruments for assessing and managing environmental quality. Air quality monitoring in Antarctica is a next step in this direction.
